HVAC Prep Course Exam Prep Course – Sept/Oct

This course meets once per week and is specifically designed to prepare students for the Maryland HVAC Journeyman License Exam and Maryland HVAC Master License Exam. The primary focus is on helping students efficiently navigate the code books and reference materials required during the exam, allowing them to locate answers quickly and complete the test within the allotted time.

Each session includes targeted drills, timed exercises, and full-length practice exams that mirror real testing conditions. Students will develop the ability to rapidly reference key sections of the International Mechanical Code (IMC), Modern Refrigeration, OSHA,  and other  materials. Instruction emphasizes how to identify relevant information, avoid common time traps, and apply code requirements accurately under pressure.

The course places a strong emphasis on time management, test strategy, and efficient problem-solving. Students will learn how to move through the exam with purpose, prioritize questions, and maximize their score within the time limit. Core HVAC concepts and calculations are reinforced in a way that supports faster recognition and execution, ensuring students can both understand and apply what they are referencing.

Success in this course requires active participation and consistent practice. Students are expected to follow through with assigned drills and apply the navigation and testing strategies covered in class. By building these skills, students will gain the confidence and efficiency needed to pass their Maryland HVAC licensing exam.

All classes are taught live online by a licensed Master with real-world field experience. Students have the opportunity to ask questions, receive direct guidance, and learn practical strategies that go beyond the textbook.
