Course Overview

This is not your standard boring read through code type of exam course.  This course is designed as knowledge and drills exam prep course.  This is practice for the exam.  To make you faster as you work through a timed exam.  It also goes into the math in the exam.  So expect to not to be bored and to be thinking and focused the entire time.  These are the skills that are needed to pass the exam. This 4-week IPC Code Gas Exam Prep Course is meticulously designed to prepare you for the International Plumbing Code (IPC) gas section exam. The course offers an in-depth study of the gas-related provisions of the IPC, ensuring you have the knowledge and skills required to achieve certification. Each week is dedicated to a specific section of the IPC gas code, providing a structured learning experience that builds your expertise progressively. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the field, this course equips you with the critical understanding necessary to pass the exam with confidence.

• Chapter 3: General Regulations
  Foundational requirements for gas system design, including material selection, sizing, and installation standards.

Week 2: Gas Piping Installation and Materials

• Chapter 4: Gas Piping Installations
  Detailed overview of acceptable materials for gas piping, including pipes, fittings, and joints and installation.
• Chapter 5: Chimneys and Vents
  Design, construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and approval of Chimneys, vents, venting systems, and their connections.
• Chapter 6: Specific Appliances
  Appliances that are regulated by the code.

Week 3: Gaseous Systems and Reference Standards

• Chapter 7: Gaseous Hydrogen Systems
  Storage, distribution, and utilization of systems, appliances, and equipment.
• Chapter 8: Reference Standard
  Review of standards in the code. Locating the standards.

Week 4: Appendixes, Exam and Review

• Review of Appendix Sections:
  Review Appendixes A through E
• Mock Exam and Final Review
  A comprehensive review session followed by a mock exam to test your knowledge and readiness for the IPC gas code exam.

Study Guide will be provided through email.  All code books are not included and need to be bought separately.

By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of the IPC gas code provisions and be fully prepared to pass your certification exam.
